| Description | Feasibility of a new 220 Km long highly valued road construction project to link Sohag directly with Hurghada on the Red Sea is now evaluated. A meeting was scheduled for March 3, 2005 between the Minister of Transport, of Local Development, of Investment and Sohag Governor to review the issue. The road would replace the presently existing link between Sohag & Hurghada via Qena and Safaga of 374-Km total length. A quarter page reportage on the project, published in the media, demonstrated several positive aspects in terms of revamping agricultural, industrial & construction materials projects in Sohag and along the road itself, also on tourism flow to and from Sohag. |
