$ 120 million soft loan was recently endorsed by the World Bank to back irrigation revamping projects in Nile Delta. It further provides for the introduction of new irrigation technologies and the training of farmers thereon. Further funding for the project was earlier arranged from the KfW – German Bank for Reconstruction and the Dutch Government. N.B. Holland has earlier extended $ 37 million for the same project. |
