Fayyoum Governor Dr. Mohamed Raafat Mahmoud has announced that some L.E. 800 million projects are now evaluated to extract salts & minerals from Qaroun Lake (55,000 feddans aquatic surface) backed by Saudi funding. Projects aim at the rescue of the lake & its huge fish wealth from increased salinity, also recovery of high value minerals used in the production of sodium & magnesium sulfates & chlorides. |
