Egypt Minister of Transport, Dr. Eng. Essam Sharaf, has recently received an EU delegation to review possible EU contribution and funding for an L.E. 450 million project involving a 77 Km long railway extension from Beer El Abd to El Arish in North Sinai. On a later stage a further extension from El Arish to Rafah is planned. Both stages would require two years for completion. |
