Homefield International PVT. Ltd., affiliated to Tata Group of India has placed a public offering to buy out EFC – Egyptian Fertilizers Co. SAE at $ 450 million. It has offered to pay $ 305 per share. Offer is valid for one week from publishing date. Buyer broker is HSBC. Meanwhile other media reports (Asharq Al Awsat of the same date) has revealed that Sabic of Saudi Arabia intends to implement a $ 700 million project to produce ammonia & urea in Egypt. Other earlier media reports predicted Sabic & Agricom (of Canada) are among the list of potential buyers of EFC. |
