Shoura Council has recently endorsed a $ 54 million loan agreement concluded with Japan to part finance the revamping of Borgel Arab Airport. Scheme provides for the doubling of the airport capacity to annually handle 1,460,000 passengers, up from 730,000 at present. Loan is for repayment over 25 years including 7 years grace & bears 1.5 % annual interest. |
