State owned El Nasr Mining Co. in cooperation with a large sized specialized Indian company seems in agreement to implement a $ 335 million project to produce phosphoric acid in Asswan City to operate under the private free zones system. It would have an annual design capacity of 600,000 tons and would generate 500 employment opportunities. According to Chemist Adel Aldanaf, Chairman of MIHC – Metallic Industries Holding Co., project would export a major portion of its output abroad. N.B. India disposes on a strong presence in Egypt chemicals industry including Alex Carbon Black Co., Egypt Acrylic Co., among others. Also an Indian Co. affiliated to Tata Group of India was the first to place a public offering to buy out 100 % shares of EFC – Egyptian Fertilizers Company. |
