During a recent visit of President Moubarak to the Oriental Weavers factories in Tenth of Ramadan City, Chairman of the Group, Mr. Mohamed Farid Khamis, has announced an L.E. 4.3 billion expansion scheme both at home & abroad over the next few years. Mr. Khamis stressed that the scheme would add 5,930 employment to the group 12,269 employment at present. [The Executive stressed the group need to be allocated further 500,000 M2 land in Tenth of Ramadan City to proceed with the scheme]. Oriental Weavers Group investments at present were put at L.E. 4.4 billion. Worth indicating is that L.E. 3 billion investments included in the scheme are allocated to implement a petrochemicals project in Port Said. |
