National private sector IT services (including software development) & IT enabled services companies are invited to join the Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Capacity Building Programme (CBP). ICT-CBP is a joint initiative between the Industrial Modernization Programme (IMP) and the Ministry of Communications & Information Technology (MCIT). ICT-CBP objective is to improve the international competitiveness of 50 companies that have the potential to export their products or services & who show among other pre-set eligibility criteria, commitment to embrace the upgrading process. A team of international & national experts will use an international benchmarking tool ”FRAME” and state of the art methodologies to diagnose companies’ SWOT analysis, design & implement individual/ group based upgrading plans for participating companies. Participating companies will pay 15 % for group upgrading plans & 30 % for individual customised upgrading plans as a form of cost contribution. The remaining 70-85 % will be financed by the Industrial Modernization Program. |
