CIB - Commercial International Bank & BDH - Bank for Development & Housing are leading an alliance to proceed with an L.E. 2 billion + urban development project at New Cairo City on 1,000 feddans land. According to Mr. Mohamed Eshmawi, CIB First Vice President, the alliance, also grouping the General Authority for New Urban Societies, has constituted a new entity to implement the project capitalized at L.E. 500 million. Both banks hold 40 % equity each in the new entity with the Authority for New Urban Societies holding the remaining 20 %. N.B. The CIB seems on his way towards acquiring National Bank for Development to consolidate its competitive position and increase its market share benefiting from an additional 100-branch network now managed by the National Development Bank. |
