According to Matrouh Governor, Gen. Mohamed Al Shahhat, the equivalent of L.E. 7.5 million Danish grant allocated for the Coastal protection of the North West Coast. That covers a 130-Km long strip starting from Ras El Hikma till Al Negeila. Project provides for the development of databases & detailed mapping of the area, executed as a pilot project, to benefit Al Obayyed, Al Gharam, Cleopatra & Al Matall beaches. Development would greatly support the year round tourist development of the North West Coast on which Egypt has been putting since almost a year great hopes to consolidate the performance of its tourism sector. |
