Telecom Egypt has requested proposals from ZTE & Huawi of China to bid for a project involving 170,000 new telephone lines to go under the CDMA wireless telecommunication technology. Project will be split 50/ 50 between both companies. The new lines will be installed in Greater Cairo, some Upper Egypt, Delta & El Canal Cities. Worth indicating is that both companies have already installed 100,000 new telephone lines under the same technology in the country. |
