According to Dr. Eng. Hassan Younis, Minister of Electricity & Energy, an L.E. 230 million project was recently endorsed to build a hydroelectric power station of 13 MW capacity on the Delta Barrage in Al Qanater Al Khayriya. Project is expected to be released for international bidding next March 2006. Project foreign currency component would be financed by KfW - German Bank for Reconstruction. |
